Time Off to Recharge
Start by earning 8 hours of vacation per month—growing to 12 hours over time—plus paid holidays and scheduled breaks (like Winter and Spring Break), adding up to 24–26 days off per year.
Accrue 8 hours per month, with unused leave rolling over from year to year. Sick leave can be transferred in from other institutions within the Florida College system, the Florida Department of Education, the Florida university system, a Florida public school district, or a state agency.
From mid-May to early August, enjoy a 4-day workweek with Fridays off—perfect for a little extra summer sunshine.
